Bears not changing QBs

Chicago Bears mentor Matt Eberflus said Monday that he is still spending time choosing changes to help the group's striving offense yet clarified that youngster Caleb Williams will stay the beginning quarterback.

"Caleb is our starter," Eberflus said.

Other than the quarterback position, be that as it may, "everything is on the table," Eberflus said.

He wasn't prepared to reveal those changes on Monday, notwithstanding.

The Bears mentor had recognized Sunday after the group's 19-3 misfortune to the New Britain Nationalists - - its third consecutive loss - - that who calls the hostile plays was one of the progressions he was thinking about.

Six days in the wake of proclaiming that Shane Waldron would go on in his job as hostile organizer after Chicago lost 29-9 at Arizona, Eberflus didn't preclude rolling out an improvement at hostile play-caller after the Bears' battles were amplified by the Loyalists.

Chicago has not arrived at the end zone in consecutive games and has gone 23 straight hostile drives without a score, which denotes the longest dynamic streak in the NFL. The Bears' last score was Roschon Johnson's 1-yard go-on score in Chicago's 18-15 misfortune to Washington on a somewhat late Leap of faith in Week 8.

Williams was sacked multiple times by the Nationalists, which brings his all out from the beyond three games to 18. During Chicago's new long string of failures, Williams has logged his three most elevated pressure-rate rounds of his profession.

Williams, the primary generally speaking pick in the current year's NFL draft, finished 16 of his 30 pass endeavors for 120 yards, his most minimal passing result since tossing for 93 yards in his NFL debut against the Titans. By and large, Chicago's offense was 1-of-14 on third down (7%), its most obviously awful imprint starting around 2012.

Waldron was employed in January 2024 after the Bears terminated the previous hostile organizer Luke Getsy after two seasons. Getsy, who was employed by the Thieves presently, was terminated last week in the midst of Las Vegas 2-7 beginning.

Waldron served in a similar job for the Seattle Seahawks from 2021 to '23, which corresponded with quarterback Geno Smith's vocation resurgence in 2022, when he was named the association's Rebound Player of the Year.
