Aaron Boone will return for his eighth season as supervisor of the New York Yankees in 2025.
The group declared Friday that it practiced its club choice for the 51-year-old captain.
Boone is 603-429 (.584) since taking over in 2018 and has arrived at the end of the season games multiple times in seven seasons. In 2024, New York caught its most memorable American Association flag starting around 2009 and lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games in the Worldwide championship.
"I'm thankful for the trust put in me to lead this group. It's an obligation - - and an open door - - that I won't ever trifle with," Boone said in a news discharge. "It's an incredible honor to go to work consistently and be encircled by still up in the air and capable players, mentors, and staff individuals. Beginning with the Steinbrenner family, there is an aggregate obligation to greatness inside this association that is implanted in all that we do.
"I'm as of now anticipating detailing for spring preparing in Tampa and working resolutely to return the Yankees to the postseason to vie for a Big showdown."
Boone is the third Yankees supervisor to make the end of the season games in six of his initial seven seasons with the club, joining Casey Stengel (additionally six of initial seven) and Joe Torre (every one of initial 12).
New York had the best record in the American Association this season at 94-68 and won the AL East for the third time in Boone's residency (2019 and 2022).
"Aaron is a steadying presence in our clubhouse and has a significant capacity to associate with and cultivate associations with his players," said Brian Cashman, the group's senior VP and head supervisor. "Reliably showing these abilities in such a requesting and compressed market makes him one of the game's best directors. Our work is obviously not done, however as we seek after a definitive award in 2025, I'm eager to have Aaron back to lead our group."
Boone was named the 33rd chief in Yankees history on Dec. 4, 2017. He marked another three-year contract with a club choice for 2025 on Oct. 19, 2021.
