Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto has been endorsed to drive for the Audi-claimed Sauber group one year from now.
The 20-year-old, who is driving the current year's Equation 2 title, will accomplice German veteran Nico Hulkenberg.
The choice implies that Sauber's ebb and flow drivers, Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu, won't be in F1 next season.
Sauber head working and specialized official Mattia Binotto said it had been a "clear choice without any questions whatsoever".
